Audiobook Pickup Notes Template

Use this pickup notes template to track proofing comments, correction targets, timestamps, original lines, corrected lines, note sources, priority, and status in one readable system.

Keep pickups connected to script sections

A spreadsheet of timestamps can become hard to use when the script, proofing comments, pronunciation decisions, and correction status live in separate places. Story Mimic keeps notes attached to the relevant Narration Script sections, so pickup and proofing context can stay near the manuscript line it belongs to.

Log one pickup per row

Each note should point to one section, one issue type, and one correction target so the item is easy to review later.

Keep the text context visible

Include the original line and corrected line when possible. A timestamp alone can be hard to use when you return to the script.

Separate proofing notes from prep cues

A pickup note is a correction-layer item. Keep it distinct from performance markup, pronunciation prep, and general scene notes.

Track source, status, and priority

Knowing who flagged an item, whether it is pending or resolved, and which items are urgent helps the correction pass stay organized.

Use the same format from proofing to review

The same pickup note can move from pending to recorded to reviewed without losing the source, location, or correction text. The broader audiobook narration prep checklist gives you a full prep sequence that includes proofing and pickup planning.

Story Mimic keeps notes in the script workflow
